Hospital visitors asked to wear masks

Visitors to wards and clinical departments at Hull Royal Infirmary are being asked to wear face masks to protect patients from winter illnesses. Staff in all clinical areas of the hospital will be wearing face masks after an increase in patients admitted to hospital with flu, diarrhoea and vomiting and norovirus over the past week. Santa set to swing by Hook ’Tis the season of goodwill, and this year Santa will visit Hook on his travels to help raise money for the renovation of St Mary’s Church. Patients at Goole Hospital are benefiting from a new therapy chair thanks to a fundraising walk which raised almost £3,000. Tony Lister, 50, from Grimsby, organised a three-mile sponsored walk in 2023 from the Cleethorpes pier to the leisure centre to raise funds for the Neuro Rehabilitation Centre (NRC).He spent time on the NRC after suffering a stroke in 2021.
