Homes needed for rescue dogs

November 5, 2025

Jerry Green Dog Rescue wants to let the people of Goole know that they are still very much present and here to support dogs and their owners of the East Yorkshire community, despite sadly having to close the Gilberdyke branch in 2022.

The East Yorkshire Community Support team wishes to reassure the region that they remain in the area and still offer rehoming; they have just adapted their services. The Jerry Green Dog Rescue East Yorkshire Community team now operate rehoming services via their Home from Home® scheme within the local area. The scheme enables a dog that requires rehoming to stay in their current home (where it is in the best interests of the dog) whilst the Jerry Green team search for a suitable new home. Owners going through the rehoming scheme will have the full support of Jerry Green Dog Rescue until a new home is found and can rest assured, the charity will always do their best to find the perfect new home. Jerry Green Dog Rescue gives second chances to dogs who’ve been abandoned, neglected or mistreated and find safe and loving homes for dogs in need.

They believe every dog is unique and worth fighting for. Jerry Green is fully funded by supporters and so, whether donating, fostering, adopting or volunteering, supporters can transform lives, one wagging tail at a time.
