The Health Tree Foundation which is the official charity of the trust, invested £12,000 into buying the devices through money raised by Grimsby Carpet Warehouse and PD Ports.
The remaining £8,000 from the overall total will go towards improving staff areas across the three hospitals the Trust runs- Goole and District Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.
The money is set to be used to design ‘wobble rooms’, which give staff a private area to take a break.
The charity has also benefited from funds raised through the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 urgent appeal which has seen staff wellbeing packs created, containing healthy snacks and treats, as well as six hairdryers, while 1,000 ice creams were delivered to staff over the Easter weekend.
Charity manager Clare Woodard said: “We are very grateful to Grimsby Carpet Warehouse and PD Ports for providing the funds for these tablets. Patients will be able to benefit from speaking to their loved ones at this difficult time and this will be a huge comfort for them.”
