August 27, 2021

A defibrillator will be installed at South Park.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service donated the life-saving equipment which will be installed at the Old Goole park following MP Andrew Percy’s recommendation. He said: “West Park of course has one and the Euros have reminded us just how important this equipment is in sports locations.” It was confirmed that town councillor, Nicola Vause, who was in the midst of fundraising for a machine, will use the donated money towards the defibrillator’s installation.

Mr Percy added: “As part of the agreement with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, I’ve agreed to try and find a location and funding for another public access defib in the Hook Road area as we could really do with one there. We just need to find a location for it. “Thanks to Yorkshire Ambulance Service for thinking of us and well done to Nicola on her fundraising event.”

Town councillors, MP Andrew Percy and footballers celebrated the announcement that a defibrillator will be installed at South Park in Old Goole. (26-08-39 SU)
